Hp Elitebook 54 Caps Lock Blinking Continuously

My hp laptop has failed to start and the caps lock blinks continuously. I have tried a lot of the suggestions from HP but nothing has work so far. Can anyone suggest a fix?

Would you please run Speccy, so we can get some specs and other useful data? Do you get it at boot-up too? Thank you very much!
Speccy by Piriform
• Download and save Speccy from here.
• Right-click on the downloaded ZIP file, click Extract all, taking note of where the files will be extracted, and then hit Extract.
• Open up the extracted folder, right-click on Speccy64.exe, and select Run as administrator. Please accept any User Account Control prompts.
• After waiting a while, click File, then Publish Snapshot.
• Hit Yes to the Publish Snapshot dialog, then click Copy to Clipboard. Paste the URL in your next reply.

Have you taken the battery out, then held down the power on button for 30 seconds....and then reinserted the battery ?

Ok, I did the following:
1) Used a canned air to blow out the vents
2) I have tried the hard reset, ie, remove the battery, then holding the down the power on button for 30 seconds....and then reinserted the battery
3) I took out the RAM and disconnect and reconnect the wireless card. Press the power button at that point, and keep it pressed for like 30 sec. Reassemble it all and try to boot.
4) Reset the BIOS from CMOS by taking out the small battery behind the RAM modules for a few seconds and reinserting it.

Thanks. The CMOS memory can be retained by capacitance in the mainboard for much longer than a few seconds. Without being able to start up the unit and confirm that the clock has lost the date, and CMOS thus known to be reset, I suggest leaving the CMOS backup battery out for at least 15 minutes to be fairly sure a reset has happened.

i would try a variant of number 2)
unplug charger
remove battery
hold down power button for 30 seconds
do
notinsert battery
plug in charger
power on
i have seen battery faults where the pc wont power up with it plugged in
also, we have had 2 cases with similar errors where hp had to swap motherboards to get it working again
if you are still within warranty that would be the next option i would try

The blink "pattern" needs to be observed as well.
The information re: blink pattern on that page seems to relate to computers manufactured from 2011-2015. My computer was purchased in 2007

I found a HP article re: the Table of Sample Blink Codes, the amount of seconds between blinks on the Caps Lock are 3-4. Based on the article it could be:
1) Memory Module error not functional
2) Graphics controller not functional

If the computer can access part of the memory, it might be possible to access the BIOS Setup Utility display and perform a memory self-test to identify other memory issues. If the computer cannot boot to the BIOS Utility, try removing and reseating the memory and the hard drive, and then repeat the following steps to perform the memory self-test.

Plug the AC adapter into the computer.
-
Turn off the computer.
-
Press the Power button to start the computer and repeatedly press the f10 key to enter the BIOS Setup menu.
-
In the BIOS Setup Utility, use the Right Arrow or Left Arrow keys to navigate through the menu selection to locate the Diagnostics.
-
Use the Down Arrow or Up Arrow keys to select Memory Test.
-
Press Enter, and then Yes to perform memory test.
-
After test completes, press f10 key to Save and Exit, and then press Enter key to Exit Saving Changes.
If the test fails, one or more of the memory modules might not be seated properly. Check for and reseat loose memory modules.

Can you boot into safe mode...???
(pressing/tapping f8 continuously at startup)

Connect an external monitor and see if you get any display from it.
If there's a display on the external monitor that could mean that the problem is the built in display. (video card....which is on board)
- But if there's still no display on the external monitor that means the problem lies in the motherboard.
